Equipped with a landscape-oriented 12-inch center touchscreen display, the Super Duty's new Sync 4 infotainment system is standard on Lariat trim and higher. The cloud-connected technology runs on Ford's latest infotainment operating system, and it includes new wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto smartphone integration.

Ford says the Sync 4 system packs twice the computing power of the Sync 3 system. It also says the voice-control functions are significantly improved, allowing the use of more natural voice commands. Even the owner's manual is digitized and available on the touchscreen display. Those who prefer discrete buttons and knobs will be glad to know that Sync 4 provides physical controls below the touchscreen for ready access to commonly used functions.

Sync 3 remains standard with XLT trim, paired with an 8-inch touchscreen display. The base XL trim features a 4.2-inch radio display and Sync voice control.

New for 2022, the Lariat Sport Appearance Package installs body-color bumpers, grille, and exterior mirrors. Black platform running boards and a chrome exhaust tip are also a part of the package. Ford is also offering a new Baja interior color scheme for any F-Series Super Duty with Lariat trim.

Availability of the Super Duty Black Appearance Package expands in 2022 and is now available with high-volume XLT trim. The package features black 20-inch wheels, black grille bars, and black running boards. The front and rear bumpers match the truck's body color. Ford also paints the front and rear "Blue Oval" emblems black to complete the customized look. The Black Appearance Package will be available for XLT trim in the fall of 2021.

For also adds a new Atlas Blue paint color choice for the 2022 F-Series Super Duty, and the Limited trim level is available with a new Navy Pier and Light Slate 2-tone interior color combination.
