2022 MINI Countryman Boardwalk Edition Stands Further Apart From the Crowd

Jack R. Nerad | Mar 25, 2021

Mini drivers like to stand out from the crowd, and their newest opportunity to do so arrives in the form of the new 2022 Countryman Boardwalk Edition. The new special-edition trim is based on the Countryman Cooper S and combines a long list of standard equipment with an exclusive exterior color accented by black trim.

Since virtually everyone in the automotive world agrees that black is the new black, the Mini Countryman Boardwalk Edition makes heavy use of the hue. A black roof contrasts with the new Deep Laguna metallic paint, the 18-inch "Pin Spoke" wheels are black, and various exterior trim pieces have a glossy piano black finish. For variety, Mini finishes the exterior mirror caps in the Deep Laguna blue color. Boardwalk-themed details are evident in the side scuttles and on the roof.

Inside, the Boardwalk Edition features leather "cross-punch" interior trim that is, of course, black. Unique door sills and a dashboard graphic carry the Boardwalk theme into the cabin. The familiar circle-motif frame that houses the standard touchscreen infotainment system with navigation dominates the interior design.

The Boardwalk Edition also includes heated front seats, automatic climate control, a storage system, and a Harman/Kardon sound system equipped with a 1-year All Access subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio.

Available in April - Find the best Mini deals!

The Mini Countryman Boardwalk Edition has a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $38,365 plus an additional $850 destination charge. An all-wheel-drive version of the Boardwalk Edition is also available for $40,365.

The new Boardwalk edition, the perfect complement to the Mini Cooper S Sidewalk Edition, will be available at U.S. dealerships in April. Naturally, Mini does not recommend that you operate either vehicle on sidewalks or boardwalks except where expressly legal.
