Acura Announces Pricing for 2022 RDX

The Acura RDX is a sporty premium SUV with a lively turbocharged engine, engaging handling, and a premium interior. Following a complete overhaul for the 2019 model year, updates have been subtle… until now. Earlier this year, Acura unveiled the 2022 RDX with upgraded styling, handling, and performance improvements, along with better tech. The automaker recently announced pricing for the new SUV, which starts slightly higher than last year’s model at $40,345, including the $1,045 destination charge.

The new RDX gets a long list of updates for the 2022 model year, including:

• Redesigned exterior with styling cues from the Acura MDX
• Improved sound insulation
• Standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

All 2022 RDX trim levels will come powered by the brand’s 272-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. The VTEC unit comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and either front- or all-wheel drive (AWD). Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system offers legitimate torque vectoring, which can shift power between the wheels that need traction the most.

As it did with the MDX and TLX, Acura will offer a hand-built, limited-run 2022 RDX PMC Edition. The high-end trim comes exclusively with Long Beach Blue Pearl paint and an Orchid Milano leather interior, both of which the RDX shares with the NSX Type S. Acura will limit production of the PMC Edition to just 200 units, making it the most exclusive model in the PMC line to date.

Acura’s trim level structure is a bit different than other automakers in that it offers a base model with added packages instead of calling them trims. However, the packages are, for all intents and purposes, the same thing as trim levels. Pricing breaks down as follows:

• RDX: $40,345/$42,545 (AWD)
• RDX with Technology package: $42,995/$45,195 (AWD)
• RDX A-Spec with Technology package: $44,950/$48,195 (AWD)
• RDX with Advance package: $50,345 (AWD only)
• RDX A-Spec with Advance package: $52,345 (AWD only)
• RDX PMC Edition: $55,295 (AWD only)

The 2022 Acura RDX is now available for pre-order on Acura’s consumer website. The SUV will begin arriving on dealers’ lots on November 2, 2021.
