All-New 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Pricing Details Announced
The Honda Civic is one of the most popular and ubiquitous cars ever made. It’s hard traveling more than a few miles down the road without seeing one, and for the 2022 model year, we have two new Civic models to add to the group. The all-new 2022 Civic Sedan went on sale earlier this year. Now, Honda has announced that its 2022 Civic Hatchback is on sale, and the automaker released pricing details for the new car, which starts at $1,200 more than the Sedan.
The Civic Hatchback is no longer the frumpy little car it was back in the 1990s and 2000s. With the tenth-generation model that rolled out in 2015, Honda gave the Civic Hatchback a sweeping fastback shape, which the automaker revised for the new 2022 model. Honda says the Hatchback makes up over 25 percent of Civic sales, so the updated form resonates with buyers.
The Japanese automaker recently announced that 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback pricing starts at $22,900, or $23,915 after the $1,015 destination charge is applied. The base LX trim level gets a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque that comes paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Standard features include a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and keyless entry with push-button start.
The Civic Hatchback Sport starts at $25,115 after destination. Though offered with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, pricing is the same for both cars. Standard features include a new Sport driving mode for CVT-equipped cars, black 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires, an 8-speaker audio system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and sport pedals.
Stepping up to the $27,615 EX-L brings a more powerful turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 180 hp and 177 pound-feet of torque but only comes with a CVT. The Civic Hatchback EX-L also adds standard blind-spot warning, leather upholstery, a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a power moonroof, and dual-zone climate control.
At the top end of the Civic Hatchback line, the Sport Touring trim starts at $30,415 for both the CVT and 6-speed manual. LED fog lights, rear cross-traffic alert, a Bose stereo, a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster are standard.
