Honda Expands Its Odyssey Line With New Sport Model For 2023

Dustin Hawley | May 15, 2022

Honda is debuting an exciting new Sport trim for the all-new 2023 Odyssey as the automaker continues to evolve its capabilities. The Odyssey’s first-ever Sport trim offers distinctive styling and a sportier appearance.

"The new Odyssey Sport will help Odyssey continue to set the standard for minivans in family-friendly features, interior space, and sporty driving performance," said Mike Kistemaker, Assistant Vice President, Honda national sales, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Odyssey Sport brings more expressive styling to a product our customers have already made America’s retail best-selling minivan since 2010."

The new Odyssey Sport finds itself slotted between the Odyssey EX-L and Touring, with its eye-catching darkened taillights, sophisticated Berlina Black 19-inch wheels, and gloss black exterior trim. The gloss black trim is a recurrent theme on the Odyssey Sport, with the grille, headlight trim, fog light surrounds, door mirrors and taillight trim all featuring the same gloss-black finish.

The interior of the Odyssey Sport features black leather with expressive red contrast stitching that adorns the steering wheel and first and second-row seats. The headliner and roof pillars are also black, and the interior exudes a subtle red glow at night with accent lighting on the dash, footwells, front door handles, and door pockets.

The Odyssey Sport comes well equipped, sharing the same abundance of features found in the Odyssey EX-L. These features include a one-touch power moonroof, power tailgate with programmable height, and 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. All 2023 Odysseys feature a 280 horsepower V6 engine, 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and the complete suite of Honda Sensing® safety and driver-assistive features - including Adaptive Cruise Control and Pedestrian Emergency Braking.

Available exterior colors for the Odyssey Sport include Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Radiant Red Metallic. Sonic Gray Pearl is also available for the first time on the Odyssey, including the Sport, Touring, and Elite trims.

Honda Service Pass is a service that brings added value and security to Honda customers, helping to lower the cost of owning Honda vehicles. It is offered to eligible 2023 Honda model buyers and covers services like tire rotation, standard oil and filter changes, and multi-point inspections.

The new Odyssey Sport will arrive at dealerships starting May 23rd, with prices for the 2023 Odyssey EX starting at $37,340 before the $1,295 destination and handling charge.
