Jeep Grand Cherokee L trim levels include Laredo, Limited, Overland, and Summit. An Altitude package ($3,200) is available for the Laredo, while a Reserve package ($3,000) dips the Summit in extra luxury.

Every new Grand Cherokee L has full LED exterior lighting, digital instrumentation, Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 infotainment technology, and a long list of safety systems. The Jeep Wave customer care program includes three years or 36,000 miles of free scheduled vehicle maintenance.

Highlights of the Limited trim include remote engine starting, leather seats, heated front and second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Overland trim installs, among other features, premium leather seats, ventilated front seats, ambient cabin lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free rear liftgate. With 4WD, the Overland has Jeep’s more capable Quadra-Trac II setup.

Summit trim distinguishes itself with quilted premium leather, real wood interior trim, 16-way power-adjustable and massaging front seats, a surround-view camera system, and Active Driving Assist technology. Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II is the 4WD option for this model.

Depending on the configuration, upgrades include 21-inch wheels, a blacked-out exterior appearance, super-premium leather, open-pore wood, ventilated second-row seats, a night-vision camera, a rear camera mirror, a head-up display, and a 19-speaker McIntosh high-end audio system. Off-roading equipment, such as skid plates and a limited-slip rear differential, is also available.

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Specs - Find the best Jeep deals!

A 290-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine is standard for all Grand Cherokee L models, powering the rear wheels or all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. With the V6 engine, the Grand Cherokee L can tow up to 6,200 pounds.

A 357-hp 5.7-liter V8 engine is available with Overland and Summit trim, and it requires 4WD. The V8 increases Grand Cherokee L towing capacity to 7,200 lbs.

Jeep says all three of the Grand Cherokee L 4WD systems have an active transfer case to maximize power distribution and grip and a front-axle disconnect system to improve fuel economy. All Grand Cherokee L models have a 23-gallon fuel tank.

Sitting on multi-link front and rear suspension designs, the Grand Cherokee L offers between 8.5 inches and 10.9 inches of ground clearance. The latter figure requires the optional air suspension system.

Cargo space behind the rear seat measures 17.2 cubic feet. Fold them down, and the Grand Cherokee L accommodates 46.9 cu.-ft. of cargo. The maximum capacity with the second-row seats folded down is 84.6 cu.-ft.
