Polestar Cars Announces Updates For The 2023 Polestar 2
Last week, Polestar Cars announced several design updates, including new range estimates and pricing for the new all-electric 2023 Polestar 2.
As the result of well-executed software improvements, Polestar anticipates an approximate 11-mile vehicle range increase for the Polestar 2 compared to the current model. The vehicle is expected to reach an estimated 260-mile total U.S. EPA range.
In addition to its increased range, the updated model adds a multitude of new features. The Polestar 2 boasts numerous equipment upgrades, including an upgraded heat pump designed for enhanced cold-weather performance. New design options are also seen across both the interior and exterior of the car.
Unique design touches for 2023 include two new exterior colors and one new interior option. “Magnesium” is now the standard, cost-free exterior paint color, with the Polestar 2 also adopting the “Space” metallic black color offered on the Polestar 1 and adding a new “Jupiter” metallic shade as well.
The performance software upgrade for the new Polestar 2 adds 68 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque to the vehicle, with more information regarding timing and pricing to be announced later this year.
Polestar offers an all-new ventilated Nappa leather option available in a light grey “Zinc” color paired with Light Ash wood trim. Due to customer demand, the automaker has also developed a removable mesh sunshade for vehicles that feature the panoramic glass roof.
The 2023 Polestar 2 Long-range Single motor will be priced at $48,400, with the Long-range Dual motor starting from $51,900. Deliveries will begin in September, and both variants qualify for the $7,500 federal electric car incentive and numerous state and local incentives.
