Chevrolet Cars 2017 Model Overview

Chevrolet emphasizes two different kinds of performance in 2017. First, the Bolt EV (electric vehicle) debuts, delivering significant range at an affordable price. Second, the Camaro lineup expands with new 1LE and ZL1 variants and the Corvette Grand Sport arrives. In other news, the Cruze lineup gets a hatchback body style, the Sonic is freshened up for 2017, and the Spark Activ arrives wearing a crossover SUV costume.

2017 Chevrolet Bolt

• New electric car with a claimed 238 miles of driving range
• Simultaneously holds 5 people and 16.9 cu. ft. of cargo
• Accelerates to 60 mph in less than 7 seconds, according to Chevy
• Full charge in 9 hours using 240-volt wall box charger
• Priced at less than $30,000 after full federal tax credit

2017 Chevrolet Camaro

• 50th Anniversary Edition arrives; all 2017 Camaros have “Fifty” on the steering wheel
• New 1LE Performance package offered for LT V-6 and SS V-8
• High-performance Camaro ZL1 returns to the lineup with 650-horsepower, supercharged, 6.2-liter V-8 engine
• Good timing: Teen Driver technology debuts, submitting reports to parents detailing a teenager’s driving behavior while in possession of the car
• New color: Arctic Blue

2017 Chevrolet Corvette

• Grand Sport variant arrives, mixing and matching bits and pieces from the standard Corvette and the Corvette Z06

2017 Chevrolet Cruze

• New 5-door hatchback body style debuts
• Teen Driver technology now offered for the Cruze, monitoring a young driver’s use of the vehicle and providing parents with driving reports
• LT and Premier trim levels get additional charge-only USB port for rear-seat occupants
• Cruze Diesel set to return in the spring of 2017
• New colors: Arctic Blue, Cajun Red, Graphite, Nightfall Gray

2017 Chevrolet Impala

• Simplified trim level lineup, with 2LT cancelled and 2LTZ replaced by Premier
• MyLink infotainment system gains Android Auto smartphone projection
• Compressed natural gas powertrain discontinued
• New color: Pepperdust

2017 Chevrolet Malibu

• Premier trim level now has a 9-speed automatic transmission
• Sport package planned for release during the model year
• Expanded Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Teen Driver availability
• New colors: Arctic Blue, Cajun Red, Pepperdust

2017 Chevrolet SS

• Some Like It Hot, Jungle Green, and Mystic Green paint colors discontinued

2017 Chevrolet Sonic

• Revised lineup with LS, LT, Premier sedans and LT and Premier 5-door hatchback with available RS package
• Premier equipped with turbocharged, 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine; other Sonics have a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder
• Updated exterior styling with new wheel designs
• New instrumentation, available power driver’s seat, heated front seats, heated steering wheel
• Upgraded infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone-projection technology, up to 2 USB ports
• Optional rear park-assist sensors

2017 Chevrolet Spark

• New Spark Activ variant debuts with raised ride height, greater ground clearance, compact crossover SUV design cues
• Spark Activ is well equipped, including heated leatherette front seats, MyLink infotainment system, reversing camera, and more
• New colors: Mint, Brimstone, Nightfall Gray, Mosaic Black, Red Hot

2017 Chevrolet Volt

• Available Teen Driver technology reports back with regard to shenanigans while your child is in possession of the car
• Adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking are available
• New color: Citron Green
