2023 Kia Telluride Preview

The Kia Telluride is one of the most popular and hard-to-find models today. Just a few years into its run on the market, Kia has more demand for its largest SUV than it can handle. The 2023 model year brings an impressive list of updates to the 3-row family hauler, including refreshed styling, new interior tech, and two new trim levels.

All 2023 Tellurides come with a V6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia hasn't announced its full trim line for the SUV for 2023, but the new X-Line and X-Pro trims will likely add to the existing LX, S, EX, and SX. The Telluride has always been a relative value pick in its segment; fully loaded, it tops out under $50,000. We expect the 2023 model to continue this structure, though the new trims could exceed that number with accessories.

The effect isn't dramatically different from past model years, but the look is simpler and cleaner overall. All trims get new wheel designs for 2023, and Kia offers three new colors: Dawning Red, Jungle Wood Green, and Midnight Lake Blue.

All 2023 Tellurides come standard with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that makes 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, while all-wheel drive is available. The SUV gets four driving modes standard, including Sport, Eco, Comfort, and Smart. All-wheel-drive models pick up an additional Snow mode and the ability to shift power between the front and rear axles based on drive mode.
