New for 2016:Nissan Trucks, SUVs, and Vans
When you’re less than best, you have three choices: accept average, improve, or bail out. With the launch of the 2016 Titan XD, Nissan has obviously selected the improvement route for its full-size pickup. Finally, the Titan is a real player with genuine capability, available diesel power, and a host of must-have technologies.
Comparatively speaking, the rest of Nissan’s truck, SUV, and van lineup remains unchanged for 2016, save for a few tweaks to the availability of certain options, freshening of the color palette, and a few key upgrades, such as extra standard air bags on the full-size NV van. Perhaps most notable is the absence of the rugged Xterra, which bows out after a successful 15-year run.
Following is an overview of new or updated features for each 2016 Nissan truck, SUV, and van model:
2016 Nissan Armada
- 2016 model-year information not yet available
- Last year, the Armada received revised interior trim styling, standard power lumbar adjustment for the driver's seat, new 20-in. alloy wheels for SL and Platinum trim levels, and two new exterior colors
- Power moonroof now available on SV crew cab
- Sunset Orange, Magnetic Black, and Gun Metallic paint colors

- Black and Yellow Stinger Edition styling packages
- Siri Eyes Free technology is now standard

2016 Nissan Murano
- Redesigned for 2015 and carried over unchanged for the 2016 model year

- Cargo van adds standard front-side and side-curtain air bags
- Pearl White and Cayenne Red paint colors
- SL passenger van adds standard 5.8-in. touch-screen infotainment system, rearview camera, hands-free text messaging, and more

- Cold package optional on Pathfinder SV
- SL trim adds standard heated steering wheel
- Almond interior color includes black and beige accents

2016 Nissan Quest
- No notable changes for the 2016 model year
- Rogue SL available with forward emergency braking, Siri Eyes Free technology, and NissanConnect infotainment system
- Magnetic Black paint color replaces Super Black
- Rogue S Appearance package upgraded with body-color turn-signal mirrors
- Blind-spot monitoring system now relies on radar instead of a camera
- Completely redesigned for the 2016 model year
- Offered in base Titan and the larger, more capable Titan XD configuration
- Available Cummins turbocharged, diesel V-8 engine boasting 555 lb.-ft. of torque
- Gas-powered V-6 and V-8 engine options
- Towing capacity in excess of 12,000 lbs.
- 2,000-lb. payload capacity when properly equipped
- Innovative Trailer Light Check system, as well as trailer sway control and integrated trailer-brake controller
- 360-degree exterior camera display
- Optional gooseneck hitch
- Three cab styles (regular, king, crew), three bed lengths, two frame choices (base and XD)

- In-bed locking storage compartments (formerly integrated into the lower rear fenders)
