Want a roaring Hemi V-8 engine but have no need for a pugnacious pickup from Ram? Well, the Dodge lineup for 2022 continues to offer up the Hemi in its three-model lineup of muscle cars (Challenger, Charger) and an SUV (Durango). Essentially a carryover year for the brand, notably absent is the limited-run, ultra-high-performance Durango SRT Hellcat. The Durango, however, does receive the most updates for 2022.

As the world’s most powerful muscle car, the Dodge Challenger’s 2022 offerings remain largely intact. Five engine choices, all-wheel drive (AWD), and widebody variants are spread among the 2-door car’s multitude of trim levels (SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye, SRT Super Stock).
For 2022, the Driver Convenience package available to entry- and mid-level trims (SXT, GT, R/T) adds a deluxe security alarm. The alarm system is standard on performance models (R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Super Stock).
The 4-door variant of the Challenger, the Dodge Charger is unchanged for 2022. Choices remain the SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye with a selection of V6 and V8 engines. Like the Challenger, AWD is available on SXT and GT trims, while the rest of the lineup is rear-wheel-drive only. The Driver Convenience package, available on SXT, GT, and R/T trims, adds a deluxe security alarm to its features list. The system is standard on Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye cars.
The 2022 Dodge Durango adds more standard comfort, convenience, and safety features across its five trim levels (SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, and SRT 392). Newly standard for all Durango trims is blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. The entry-level SXT now features 3-row seating, a power driver’s seat, rear parking assist, and bright roof rails as standard. All GT Durangos are now equipped with remote engine start, a power liftgate, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats. Opting for the Blacktop package will score you a performance hood for the Durango GT as well as performance all-season tires on GT and R/T trims.
For Plus-level GT and R/T trims, adaptive cruise control with stop/start, advanced brake assist, and lane-departure warning plus lane-keeping assistance are now standard. By trim, the GT Plus also adds a seat memory system, rain-sensing automatic wipers, leather-and-suede seat material, heated seats for first and second rows, and bright cargo area scuff plates. The R/T Plus adds forward-collision warning with active braking, a sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system. The once optional Premium Interior package, which includes a Dinamica headliner and premium-wrapped instrument panel, is also standard.
